Planning to compete this fall, but don’t know your roster(s) yet? No problem! Log in to your PlayVS.com account and enroll at least one team (minimum 4-seat purchase required) by 7/31 to secure your early bird discount (up to 20% off). You’ll then have the flexibility to add more teams & players at the early bird rate even after 7/31.

Reminders will be sent to finalize rosters and submit payment prior to the Fall enrollment deadline (9/16). Reach out to your Customer Success Representative at success@playvs.com to learn more.

New Updates 

NBA 2K Special Pricing

We are thrilled to kick off our inaugural PlayVS official NBA 2K season this Fall and wanted to extend an exclusive benefit for enrolling early! If you enroll at least one NBA 2K team and complete this purchase form by July 31, 2022, you will secure a $42 discounted price (30% off of MSRP!) for the next iteration of NBA 2K for PS4, when you compete through PlayVS. The number of copies available at this special price will be limited and will be shipped according to the general release date.

Splatoon™

We had received a lot of feedback regarding continuing to operate Splatoon™ 2 vs Splatoon™ 3 this fall season, given the announcement of Splatoon™ 3 earlier this summer. While we had previously communicated Splatoon™ 2, we discussed this with our partners at Nintendo and are excited to announce we will be moving our Splatoon™ leagues to Splatoon™ 3 this Fall season to align with the broader ecosystem! In partnership with Nintendo, we will be providing every enrolled Splatoon™ 3 team with four Splatoon™ 3 game codes (valued at $240 per team) upon release on September 9th. Due to the Splatoon™ 3 release date, Splatoon™ 3 leagues will start preseason the week of September 12th, with the regular season kicking off the week of September 26th.

Hearthstone Card Unlock and Early Access

Beginning this Fall, teams that enroll in PlayVS Hearthstone leagues will gain access to Battle.net accounts preloaded with card packs! Schools that enroll before July 11th will be eligible to receive early access to unlocked accounts, while supplies last! General release of the unlocked accounts will be August 1st, 2022.

Each account will be loaded with 300 classic card packs, and 300 card packs from each of the following expansions: Madness at Darkmoon Faire, Scholomance Academy, Forged in the Barrens, United in Stormwind, Fractured in Alterac Valley, Murder at Castle Nathria. Teams looking to get the most out of the unlocked accounts will need to dedicate time to complete the tutorial, level up desired classes, and manually open card packs prior to start of the regular season.

Special Olympics Unified Fall 2022 Season (Mario Kart™ 8 Deluxe is Coming!!!)

Enrollment is now open for our Fall 2022 Special Olympics Unified Esports season!

PlayVS is proud to partner with Special Olympics North America to run the official Unified esports league for Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools®. Unified esports is an activity that combines students with intellectual disabilities (Special Olympics athletes) and students without intellectual disabilities (Unified Partners) on esports teams. Our Unified League will be provided to participating Special Olympics Champion Schools at no cost. 

We are excited to share that Mario Kart™ 8 Deluxe will be joining us as our second title for Unified esports!  Teams consisting of 2 athletes and 2 partners can participate in a pilot National League competing on Wednesdays at 4 pm EST this Fall season.

• Playoffs
  - Double Header Top 8 & Top 4 11/30 (Mario Kart™ 8 Deluxe), 12/1 (Rocket League)

The Special Olympics Unified League is available for Unified Champion Schools in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, IL, IN, MI, MO, MT, NY, NE NM, OK, OH, TX, VA, WA.

New Product Features

Dynamic Match Reporting

Coaches will be able to input game results as the match progresses. This feature will enable Coaches to view match results as the games are being played. This feature will be available for all game titles.

Improved Chat Information

You will now see the role of people you are talking to in chat as well as see their user icon, name, & timestamp altogether.

Scrimmage Updates

Scrimmages will no longer automatically pair teams for scrimmages.  Instead, you will now see a larger range of suggested scrimmages available. To find the right scrimmage, coaches can also select the type of scrimmage they are looking for (Beginner, Casual, Competitive).

Steam Account Connections for Rocket League

You can now connect your Steam accounts for use with Rocket League.

Reminders

Fall Enrollment Is Now Open!

Enrollment for the fall season is open from now until 9/16 for most states.

Season Details: 

• New! Schools have the ability to enroll teams without needing a full roster until the enrollment deadline.
• New! No additional charges to add substitutes until they are part of the active roster on match days.

Nintendo Switch System Bundle - Early Bird Promotion

We are excited to continue offering Nintendo Switch system bundles through our partnership with Nintendo! 

High Schools that enroll in a Nintendo game (Super Smash Bros.™ Ultimate, Splatoon™ 2, or Mario Kart™ 8 Deluxe) league by July  31, 2022, will be eligible to receive a Nintendo Switch system bundle and associated game codes, while supplies last. Terms and conditions can be viewed here.

New! Refreshed Fall 2022 Referral Program

This season we have added even more ways to give back - both to your program and the new school(s) that you help enroll. 

As a verified PlayVS coach, refer a new coach at a school that has never competed with PlayVS and we'll credit $500 to your PlayVS school account AND credit $500 to the referred coach's PlayVS school account if the referred coach enrolls a team in the Fall 2022 season by the registration deadline. Additionally, refer an athletic/activities director from your school district and PlayVS will donate $2,000 to your school if at least half of the schools in the district enroll at least one team in the Fall 2022 OR Spring 2023 seasons.
