
Brian Cooley joined PlayVS in 2023 as the organization’s first Chief Marketing Officer and currently serves as Chief Business Officer, overseeing marketing, customer success, publisher relationships, and college and partner sales. In this expanded role, Brian is responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening strategic partnerships, and aligning go-to-market execution across the organization.
Brian previously served as Chief Business Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and President of Sports and Entertainment at social impact company EVERFI. During his nine years at EVERFI, he helped scale the company to more than $120M in annual recurring revenue and grow the team from 60 to over 600 employees. Prior to EVERFI, Brian spent six years at Blackboard, expanding the company’s global education impact while overseeing branding, communications, demand generation, and marketing operations. He has also led B2C and B2B marketing teams in the sports marketing industry, in the automotive sector with Land Rover North America, and in the software industry with IBM.
Brian brings a strong global perspective shaped by growing up in Thailand, Venezuela, and South Africa, and by traveling to more than 50 countries. He earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Georgetown University.
